Wolves Run a Muck in Loganville.

The Buford Boy’s Varsity football team rushed for 318 yards and accumulated 162 yards in the air Friday night in their 49-0 win over the Loganville Red Devils at Red Devil Stadium in Loganville.

With a Regional Championship match up with Flowery Branch on the horizon, The Wolves looked to avoid a possible trap game by pounding the ball on the ground early and often with their talented and deep backfield.

Wolves star running back and Michigan commit Christian Turner had a big day with four touchdowns. The first coming on a 1-yard rumble into the endzone to make the score 7-0 and another from 20 yards out to make the first quarter score 14 to 0.

On the following Drive Loganville quarterback Tanner green was intercepted by Elijah Turner. Turner’s interception would lead to a Aaron Mclaughlin 6 yard strike to Tyler Gillis with 9:12 left in the half to push the score to 21-0.

Wolves running back Anthony Grant would add a score from the 6-yard line with 5:24 left in the half to push the score to 28-0. Grant carried the ball 11 times and finished with 99 yards.

A stalled Loganville Drive then led to Turner’s third score of the game, a 9 yard run that pushed the score to 35-0 at the half.

The second half would be on a running clock and on the 1st play of Buford’s first  possession Darion Brown scored on a 72-yard run to push the score to 42-0. Brown had 95 yards on five carries.

It was more of the same on the next Drive as Grant would add his second touchdown from 20 yards out on just the second play of the possession. That would be the final score of the game to add to the Wolves commanding lead 49 to 0.

Wolves kicker Hayden Olsen was a perfect 7 for 7 on extra points.
